Stepping into Fonda Barris felt like entering a culinary oasis nestled in the Garrotxa Volcanic Nature Reserve. The picturesque surroundings made for a delightful dining experience set under the trees, with fresh produce from the garden enhancing every dish. The indulgent T-bone steak for two, though a splurge, was a carnivorous delight that could have easily satisfied a group of four.The addition of a lounge with a cozy fireplace and a sun terrace offering views of Puigsacalm Mountain elevated the overall ambiance of the hotel, providing the perfect setting to unwind after a day of exploring the area. The personalized attention from the family-run establishment and the free Wi-Fi made us feel right at home, while the opportunity to engage in activities like cycling and hiking added an adventurous touch to our stay.As a Spanish chef passionate about exceptional culinary experiences, I was impressed by the flavors and presentation of the lunch and dinner offerings at the on-site restaurant.
